Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes

 







Ingredients


°1 teaspoon cornstarch

°1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth (or beef broth)

°2 teaspoons olive oil

°1 small onion cut into cubes

°1 small green bell pepper, cut into cubes

°1 pound lean ground beef

°2 tablespoons ketchup

°2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

°2 tsp taco seasoning

°1/4 sp salt

°1/4 tsp black pepper

°1 1/2 cups sharp white cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack cheese

°6 hamburger buns

Preheat the broiler.

In a small bowl, whisk the cornstarch and broth together. Sit aside.

Heat the oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and peppers. Fry for 3 minutes until cooked. Adding beef & continue to cook, breaking it up & browning it for other 3 min

Adding ketchup, Worcestershire, taco seasoning, salt, & pepper. Stirring in the broth and cornstarch & add to skillet. Simmer on low heat for 3 min, stir occasionally, until mix thick slightly.

Put a little mixture on the buns, cover with a quarter cup of cheese, then put it under the broiler until it melts, watching closely, so that nothing burns! (Alternatively, you can simply add the cheese with the meat mixture and stir until combined and melted.)

Serving warm with chips & Enjoy!
